Founder of Elpis Ministries International Phil Jones

Phil was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1958. He accepted Christ at age 8 and felt called to missions at age 13. He graduated from East Texas Baptist University in 1983 after serving for several years as a short-term missionary in the Philippines and Botswana. In 1984 he became an ordained minister and served as a church pastor for 16 years. In 2007, Phil answered the call to serve full time as a missionary in Iganga, Uganda. He foundered Elpis Ministries International in 2008. He works to provide food, shelter, clothing, medical care, Christian mentoring and schooling for over 100 orphaned and impoverished children.  You can be a part of what God is doing in Uganda by providing prayer and/or financial support.
